Digital Exam System Launched at Our Faculty of Dentistry

In line with our university’s digital transformation goals, another significant step has been taken. The Faculty of Dentistry has introduced a digital exam system during the 2024–2025 Spring Semester, contributing to environmental sustainability while also setting an exemplary model for enhancing efficiency and security in assessment processes. As part of the efforts led by the Faculty, a digital infrastructure was established to minimize processes such as printing, archiving exam papers, and paper waste.

Fast, Secure, and Transparent

Digital exams were conducted on 160 tablets procured through the faculty’s budget. User interface designs, user authorizations, improvements to the wireless internet infrastructure, and orientation and training for both students and staff were completed prior to implementation. System tests were also successfully carried out. During the pilot phase, digital exams were conducted for 10 different courses at various levels. Student responses were instantly recorded in the system, and the evaluation processes were completed in a fast, secure, and transparent manner. Following the successful outcome of this initiative, all written exams at the Faculty of Dentistry are planned to be conducted digitally in the upcoming term.

With this application, the Faculty not only promotes an environmentally conscious approach but also enhances exam security, ensures the effectiveness of assessment processes, and maintains the integrity of academic records.
