The 8th International Erasmus+ Staff Week was held between the dates of 12-16 May 2025 at Karadeniz Technical University by the organization of the Office of Exchange Programmes. 32 representatives of 25 different universities from 11 different countries attended the event. Karadeniz Technical University and the city of Trabzon were introduced to the participating university representatives. Negotiations were held to establish new bilateral agreements within the scope of Erasmus+ Programme. The event also made a great contribution to the international visibility of Karadeniz Technical University.

On Monday, May 12, 2025, the opening speech of the event were made by our University's Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ali TEMİZ responsible for International Relations and Institutional Coordinator for International Relations Prof. Dr. Sercan EROL. During the first day of the event; presentations were made introducing our University, the history, culture and local cuisine of our city, as well as Turkish culture and language. Also visits were organized to our University's METAM and ILAFAR Research Centers along with participating university representatives. We would like to thank all the employees of our Research Centers, especially ILAFAR Center Director Prof. Dr. F. Sena SEZEN and METAM Research Center Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa ASLAN, who hosted the participants.

As a part of the event, on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, participating university representatives made presentations introducing their own institutions and countries. On the same afternoon, a mini fair called "Participants' Exhibition" was organized on the ground floor of the Faculty of Science, where participating universities introduced their own countries, universities and local flavors. Our university staff and students showed great interest in the fair.

On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, trips were organized to the historical and cultural sites of Trabzon. In this context, the Hagia Sophia Mosque and Museum, Ataturk Pavillion, Gulbahar Hatun Mosque and Tomb, (Kanuni) Sultan Suleyman Ottoman Culture House and Sumela Monastery were visited.

On Thursday, May 15, 2025, presentations were made by students who previously benefited from the Erasmus+ Programme, explaining their Erasmus+ experiences. Erasmus Student Network Local President also made a presentation introducing the ESN Trabzon Student Club. We would like to thank our outgoing Erasmus+ students Hilal CAVUS, Betul SARI, Ozgur GOREN, Elif Sudenaz KARAS and Beyza OZCAN for attending the event. Also we would like to thank our incoming Erasmus+ traineeship students Randja CHANAI, Kamila SPENDLIKOVA, Manel ABDELMALEK and Lisa LIBARDI for their presentations about being an incoming Erasmus+ student at Karadeniz Technical University.

On Friday, May 16, 2025, presentations were made about the production stages of mini wooden houses in the relevant workshop within the Forest Industrial Engineering Department. The participants received the mini wooden houses they assembled themselves to keep as a souvenir. We would like to thank all the employees of the workshop, especially Assoc. Prof. Dr. Samet DEMİREL who hosted the participants.

At the closing ceremony, the participants were presented with their certificates by our University's Institutional Coordinator for International Relations Prof. Dr. Sercan EROL.
